Anti-Smoking Advertisements

Anti-smoking ads have gotten increasingly graphic, even gruesome in the past few years. If you have tried to quit smoking and failed before, take comfort in the fact that most smokers fail several times before quitting successfully. The images below will ease your way and help you insure that this is the last time you ever need to go through the quitting process.

This is my response to an item on the EULOGY MAGAZINE website about smoking killing more men than women, so far.

What is so bad about smoking/nicotine addiction is that the tobacco companies, like religions, need children for their survival. Tobacco companies HAVE to recruit children to smoking if their are to maintain/increase sales and their disgusting industry.
All over the world the tobacco industry wants children to become nicotine junkies, no matter how much they protest otherwise.
This is something that is of concern to eveyone and WE should be much more vociferous in saying so. Otherwise future generations will accuse us of not caring and allowing this most pernicious of legal, harmful addictive substances to be past on through the generations as part of population control – tobacco consumption as part of eugenics.

If we don’t greatly reduce and ultimately eliminate the tobacco industry we will continue to be guilty of condoning state sanctioned addiction to glean revenue from the taxation of tobacco and its products.
It is as simple as that. Let us deride addled addicts like David Hockney squealing about ‘civil liberties’. If consciences need to be pricked further I remind you that smoking is also a class issue as proportionately more poorer/working class people smoke. I remember the phrase ‘Put that in your pipe and smoke’ Please don’t –  IT IS A FILTHY HABIT AND ADDICTION.

Isn’t rather disgusting to see how the nicotine junkies are are expelled on to the streets from their homes, workplaces, pubs, restaurants etc. –  NOT A NICE SIGHT. I will admit I have been a ‘stop smoking’ counsellor and an ex smoker. I have also been an alcohol counsellor but I will leave that for another rant.
