Cousin Eamonn posted this clip of his class in Mountbellew School singing this song he composed for Malala. The song ends with the statement that EDUCATION CANNOT BE DENIED.  It is mainly girls singing which is so appropriate as Malala was fighting for the right of girls to education when she was brutally shot at as she was demonstrating in her campaign. Education is crucial for girls in their striving for indpendence, freedom from mysogyny and violence.

The youngsters, from Holy Rosary College, Mountbellew, Co. Galway, were brought together by religion and history teacher Eamonn Quinn, who penned the song, entitled The Flower of Pakistan.

An appeal was put out over the school intercom asking for volunteers to join Mr Quinn at lunchtime to record the tune, and a number turned up with instruments to hand, rapidly learned the song and then proceeded to perform it.
