Women bishops – the synod said no but everyone else said yes.

Posted in No women bishops in England by sheelanagigcomedienne on November 23, 2012

There is a constitutional crisis with the rejection of women bishops. The automatic membership of 26 of the 44 bishops to the House of Lords contravenes the sex discrimination act. Of course, I believe that the mitred one’s have absolutely no right to those seats in the Lords. It is so undemocratic and proof that Britain is a theocracy.

LIZ WILL HAVE TO FIX IT as she is ” the highest power under God in the kingdom”

The Queen as  the British monarch has the constitutional title of Supreme Governor of the Church of England. The canon law of the Church of England states: “We acknowledge that the Queen’s most excellent Majesty, acting according to the laws of the realm, is the highest power under God in this kingdom, and has supreme authority over all persons in all causes, as well ecclesiastical as civil.”

This lot decided that this lot couldn’t become mitred bishops in ENGLAND.

In 2010, for the first time in the history of the Church of England, more women than men were ordained as priests (290 women and 273 men).

Did you know:  Due to its status as the established church, in general anyone may be married, have their children baptised or their funeral in their local parish church, regardless of whether they are baptised or regular churchgoers.

Women priests AND  the Queen cannot become bishops in this sceptred isle unlike this colourful bunch elsewhere. There are 37 women Anglican bishops worldwide. Africa has just got its first woman bishop. What a disunited and contradictory instituion the CofE and its cousins in the Anglican communion is. The Anglican communion, is of course, a hangover from exploitative and shameful British imperialisation. The Protestant church in Ireland left it in 1869.

Lovely cloaks and matching mitres. The Queen would approve.

The queen likes matching ensembles.

with Mary McAleese.

So did her MUM.
